Key worker - Professional responsible for coordination of support from several different sources for a particular child or young person.

KS - Key Stage. A child's progress through school is measured in Key Stages. Each Key Stage covers a number of school years. Starting at Key Stage 1 and finishing at Key Stage 4. Key Stage 1 Infant School (3-7 years). Key Stage 2 Junior School (7-11 years). Key Stage 3 Lower Secondary School (12-13 years). Key Stage 4 Upper Secondary School (14-16 years).

  • KS1 Key Stage 1 for pupils aged 5-7, Years 1 and 2
  • KS2 Key Stage 2 for pupils aged 7-11, Years 3 to 6
  • KS3 Key Stage 3 for pupils aged 11-14, Years 7 to 9
  • KS4 Key Stage 4 for pupils aged 14-16, Years 10 and 11
